Custom printed NCR Books
All our NCR books are custom printed with a design of your choice. This can include your logo, your business details, a form designed to suit your needs and anything else you may need, ideal for use as Invoices, Order Books, Receipt Books etc. and any other book where you might need duplicates or triplicates. We offer a professional design service or you can supply your own artwork ready for print.
Our no-carbon-required books are works of art. They are not the everyday invoices you get from your local supplier. You get a book that has your logo in full colour. It's numbers are bold and bright and easily readable, not those faded red ones. It has a black leather-look-a-like cover and above all is durable and can lie on a bakkie's dashboard for months without fading or getting dirty.
Sizes and Quantities
Our book and pad sizes are A4 and A5 and each book is 100 x 100 pages in duplicate or 50 x 50 x 50 in triplicate. Tear out pages are perforated and all pages are numbered sequentially.

Books or Pads
We also offer the above in pad form. The difference between books and pads are that in the case of pads, instead of having them stapled and then bound with spine tape and perforated, they are just glued into sets at the top and then glued into pads of 50 or 100, with a board backing and a chip board writing shield.
With NCR books you need to leave the completed duplicate sheets in the book for your records, whereas with pads each sheet of the set is removed before you can move onto the next set, so you cannot leave any duplicates in the pad, they would need to be filed or stored some other way if needed.
Examples of NCR Books
What is an NCR book?
NCR paper was invented in 1953 by 2 chemists named Lowell Schleicher and Barry Green, who both worked at the National Cash Register. Hence the name NCR paper (No Carbon Required).
They invented a system where ink was released from tiny bubbles inside the paper texture when pressure was applied onto the paper by a pen. This system is in widespread use all over the world today.
NCR (no carbon required) or carbonless books have eliminated the need for carbon paper between sheets to create multiple copies of the same page. The back of the top sheet of paper is chemically treated to transfer the pen pressure from the first page to the subsequent pages. The bottom side of carbonless NCR paper is coated with micro-encapsulated dye that breaks when pressed. The top of the second sheet is coated with clay that reacts with the dye to form a permanent mark. When the top sheet is written on, the pressure causes the micro-capsules to break and release the dye.
This creates an outline on the top sheet of the NCR paper below. Today, NCR pads, NCR books and NCR sets can be found in workplaces and organizations everywhere throughout the world. They are utilized in various circumstances to empower merchants and clients to keep copies of significant records.
